#45: The Effects of Alcohol and My Second 10 Second Kiss

Wednesday night is our first meeting with AltEgo and his friend. They are 18, so they can't roll with us for night game. Rufio and I hit up Loc#9 and it is good, though I have a resurgence of AA. I finish with 15 sets.

Thursday night, AltEgo, Whisp, Doc, and Rufio meet at Grand Central. I approach a ton of sets, but am hardly able to open anyone.

I leave to hit up a special screening of Caprica. Rufio joins me, but we leave for Soho Grand when we realize how late we will finish. While at Caprica, Rufio offers to get me a drink. I jokingly ask him to spike it, which he does. Thinking I can handle it, I drink the tequila grapefruit juice. I hardly ever drink, so by the time we leave Caprica, I am totally drunk and I feel like shit and never want to drink that much again. Still, I bounce to Soho Grand.

When we arrive, I am still a little buzzed. After saying hi to Dark Nes and Sabastian, I open up most of the room. Later, Sabastian tells Rufio that I am being too gamey for the environment. Grand is more social circle game than I am used to, plus I am drunk, but it turns out okay.

On the way home, Rufio runs into two friends of his. They are accompanied by a cute brunette with bright red lipstick. The issue is, I simultaneously approached this three set to ask for directions, so I did not hear Rufio greeting these guys like friends. Thinking they were a normal set, I became playful with the girl. She responded warmly and I pounced. I moved to her, ran my fingers through her hair, and we began kissing. I then realized that she might be dating one of the other guys. I stop and say, "Uh...are either of these guys your boyfriend?"

Later, as we say good-bye, the girl gets very standoffish as i shake her hand. "This is awkward," I say and roll off to talk a little with one of the guys. A minute later, the girl is hugging my arm. Later, Dark Nes and Rufio note that calling out awkward or strange situations spikes attraction - social intelligence and frame control.

I finish the night with 50 sets.
